Privacy Policy
Overview
DeviceCheckPro is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data when you use our hardware testing tools.
Client-Side Testing Only
All hardware tests on DeviceCheckPro run 100% client-side in your web browser. This means:
- No hardware test data is ever uploaded to our servers
- Your keyboard inputs, microphone audio, webcam video, and mouse movements stay on your device
- Test results and scores are processed locally in your browser
- We cannot see or access any of your testing activity
Data Storage
DeviceCheckPro may store the following data locally on your device using browser storage (IndexedDB and localStorage):
- Test History: Your past click speed test scores and reaction time results
- Personal Bests: Your best scores for comparison
- Preferences: Any settings you configure
This data is stored entirely on your device and is never sent to our servers. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings or by clearing browser data.
Hardware Permissions
Some tools require browser permissions to access hardware:
- Microphone Access: Required for the microphone test to capture and analyze audio in real-time. Audio is processed locally and never recorded or uploaded.
- Camera Access: Required for the webcam test to display live video. Video is displayed locally and never recorded or uploaded.
- Gamepad API: Used to detect game controllers. No permission required.
You will be prompted by your browser before any hardware access is granted. You can deny these permissions or revoke them at any time through your browser settings.
