A sensible order
The “Everything” list starts with input devices, because they need no permissions, then moves to camera and sound (one permission prompt each), then the screen tests, which are best done full screen, and finishes with phone-only extras. If something fails, the troubleshooter can suggest fixes from your notes.
Questions
What does “run all tests” do?
It lines up every check in a sensible order. Open each test, run it, come back and mark it passed, failed or skipped. Your checklist is saved in this browser so you can pick up where you left off.
Which tests should I run before a video call?
Choose the “Before a call” playlist: webcam, mic, speakers and keyboard. It takes about five minutes.
Which tests should I run when buying a used laptop or phone?
Choose “Buying used”. It covers the keyboard, touchscreen, dead pixels, webcam, mic, speakers and, on phones, vibration and sensors. Run them in person before handing over money.
