Device troubleshooter

Tell it what’s going wrong and get the likely causes and fixes, from quick settings to cables, drivers and warranty. Then confirm with the matching test.

What’s the problem?

An AI assistant suggests likely causes and fixes, cheapest first. It sees only what you type. Answers can be wrong; check your device maker’s support pages before opening anything up.

Common fixes worth trying first

  • Permissions: for camera and mic problems in a browser, check the site permission (address bar icon) and the OS privacy settings.
  • Exclusive use: only one app at a time can use some cameras and mics. Close meeting apps, OBS and other tabs.
  • Ports and cables: try another USB port directly on the computer, not a hub, and another cable if you have one.
  • Restart the device and the computer: it clears stuck drivers more often than it should.
  • Test on a second computer: the quickest way to tell hardware faults from software ones.

Questions

What can the troubleshooter help with?

Problems with keyboards, mice, microphones, webcams, speakers and headphones, game controllers, touchscreens, monitors and phone hardware, plus the browser and operating-system settings that affect them.

What is sent to the AI?

Only the text you type into the form and the device you choose. It is processed to generate the answer and not stored by DeviceCheck Pro. Don’t include personal details.

Can I trust the answer?

Treat it as a checklist of likely causes, not a diagnosis. It can be wrong, especially about specific models. Re-run the matching test to confirm any fix, and follow the manufacturer’s instructions before opening a device.
